Newcomer’s Dessert – Tonight! 

If you are new to CCV there is a Newcomer’s Dessert being held tonight, at 6:00pm, at the home of Pastor Kevin and Beth Ann.  This is an opportunity to get to know Pastor Kevin and learn more about how to plug in with our CCV community.  A sign-up sheet is available at the Welcome Station in the Café.  Their home is located at 2126 Mark Ave., Lansing, MI.  Their phone number is: (517) 267-0554.

Help Needed!

Our tutoring center is in great need of tutors for kids K-12.  The first week that tutoring resumed, we had 13 students.  More volunteers are needed if we are to continue filling this need in our neighborhood.  Tutoring is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm-6:00pm.  If you would like to help with this ministry, please give the church office a call for more information, (517) 337-9121.

Harvest Party Outreach Carnival – Sunday, Oct. 20

Join us for our annual outreach event to Pebble Creek!  A potluck meal will be shared, so please bring a large side dish to pass.  Candy: Donations of bags of individually wrapped candy can be placed in the large box in the café no later than Sun. Oct. 13.  Please sign up to help and see the bulletin insert for details!   

New Men’s Bible Study

This will be a time of fellowship, prayer, & study as we discover God’s message for CCV guys.  Join us the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month from 8:30-9:30am.  If you have any questions, contact Ed Minas at (425)827-1240 or ed.minas@comcast.net.

All Newcomers, we will be holding a Welcome to the Family course on Saturday, November 9th.  This course serves as CCV’s version of a membership class.  If you are interested in learning more about CCV and the Vineyard church, this course is for you!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 9th.  More details to follow.

Second Saturday Intercession is back!  This Saturday, September 14th, we will meet together from 8:00am – 9:00am to intercede for CCV’s ministry, members, and friends, and for the greater Lansing community.  Please join us in the prayer room at the CCV ministry center.

Kim & Karen became grandparents this weekend, as they welcomed Micah Daniel Hiltunen to the world.  Nate and Carla are the proud parents!

Sarah Minas’ step-father, Henry Keyser, went to be with the Lord this past Wednesday.  Henry was a World War II veterinarian and a deacon in the Episcopal Church.  Please keep Sarah and Ed in your prayers, as well as Sarah’s mother, Carol, as they grieve this loss.

Drop-In Art Sessions will be held at 1:00pm at the Ministry Center on Tuesdays throughout the summer.  Drop-In Art is a chance to bring your own projects and supplies and fellowship together while working on your latest art project.  If you have any questions, please see the office staff or speak with Anita Shoemaker.
