Super Bowl Party, Tonight

Join us tonight to share the fun of Super Bowl XLVIII.  Our annual Super Bowl party starts at 5:30pm.  Bring your favorite game-day appetizer or dessert to share.  CCV will provide beverages and tableware. 

Women’s Gathering

Ladies, mark your calendars for next Saturday, February 8th, from 10am-12pm.  We will meet in the home of Lela Vandenberg, located at 1912 W. Rundle, Lansing.  If you would like to bring some treats or need directions, give Lela a call at, (517) 282-1197.

Women’s Retreats Information

Christ Vineyard Church in Owosso has invited us to join them for a women’s day-retreat, Saturday February 22nd from 9:30am-4pm.  Mary Douglas will be sharing at this retreat.  The cost is $10 and includes lunch, plus a free will donation will be taken for Mary.  See the sign-up sheet for more information. 

Also, save the date for our spring women’s retreat on the lakeshore.  We will head to Camp Geneva May 1st – 3rd.  Cost this year is $123/person, more details to come.

Fire By Night, TONIGHT

Our December Fire By Night Worship Gathering has been rescheduled.  We plan to meet this evening, January 26th, at 6:00pm.  Fire By Night is a great opportunity to practice our upward priorities of worship and prayer.  We’d love to have you join us as we go a little deeper!

Fire By Night Rescheduled

Our December Fire By Night Worship Gathering has been rescheduled.  We plan to meet Sunday evening, January 26th, at 6:00pm.  Fire By Night is a great opportunity to experience our January and February disciplines focus, of worship and prayer.

Our Condolences

Bruce Fedewa’s father, Hilary Fedewa, went to be with the Lord last week.  Hilary was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served in World War II, and a longtime faithful member of St. Gerard Church.  Please keep Bruce and the Fedewa Family in your prayers, as they grieve this loss.

On January 10th & 11th we are offering a prayer training using the book, Healing Ministry, by Jack Moraine.  A sign-up sheet is at the Welcome Station, and when you sign-up today you will receive a free copy of the book.  The training will include a Friday evening book discussion, from 7-9pm.  Then on Saturday we will practice the books methods as well as debrief on what we have learned, from 9am-1pm.

Holiday Office Hours

The CCV office will be closed on the 31st and 1st, this week.  We will be happy to assist you on Thursday and Friday, when our office resumes normal hours.

Thanksgiving Offering
Today we will be taking a special Thanksgiving Offering.  This year our offering will be used for the Benevolence Fund, to be donated to families in need.  All funds will be dispersed at our Pastoral Advisory Council’s discretion.  Please prayerfully consider how you can help, and signify any checks for this purpose by writing “Thanksgiving Offering” in the memo line or on the offering envelope.   

Pastor’ Christmas Luncheon
On Saturday, Dec 7th, we are excited to host the Vineyard pastors for an annual Christmas luncheon.  If you are able to help serve at this event, please see Vicki Johnson and sign up at the welcome station today.  We need six adult volunteers to help from 10am to 3pm.

With the holidays here, calendars are filling up fast.  So be sure to add CCV’s family Christmas Party to your plans.  Our annual Christmas party will be December 15th at 5pm.  Look for more info in next week’s bulletin.
