Prayer Seminar

Sign-up today for a seminar on the Vineyard 5 Step Prayer Model.  Kent Miller, our prayer ministry leader, and Pastor Kevin will be leading this training on Saturday, February 6th, from 9:00am-11:00am. The Vineyard 5 Step Prayer Model was developed by John Wimber to teach people to pray and to take away some of the mysteries surrounding praying for people and the misconception that only leaders or really holy people can pray.  It parallels the way Jesus taught his disciples to pray and how he prayed himself. 

CCV Super Bowl Party

Celebrate Super Bowl 50 with your CCV Family.   Enjoy some fellowship and bring an appetizer or dessert to share.  The party starts at 6pm.  Beverages and tableware will be provided.  Clean up crew needed.

Let's Put Our LOVE IN ACTION   

With the recent water crisis in Flint, many churches are feeling compelled to respond in a tangible way!

The City of Lansing Faith Based Initiatives Director,  Bishop David Maxwell is asking all Christians in the region to take 15 minutes to purchase 1 or more (24 or 32 count packs) of 16 oz bottled water and drop it off on Sunday, January 24th at one of the below locations. 

Call the churches for the office hours. This is a wonderful opportunity for the body of Christ to step up in a united way and demonstrate the love of God to our brothers and sisters in Flint! Thank you to Two men and a Truck for helping us get the water to Flint! Also thank you to Tabernacle of David Church Family and Union Missionary Baptist Church Family! This is what it is all about folks! Our God is able!

Memorial Service in Honor of Priscilla Smith

A service of thanksgiving for the life of Priscilla Smith will be held at CCV at 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, January 23, followed by a lunch reception.  During the service there will be an opportunity for anyone who wishes to share what they remember and appreciate about Priscilla.  All friends of Priscilla are also invited to an open house in her honor, at which light refreshments will be served, that same evening from 6:00-9:00 at the Turner-Dodge House, 100 E. North St, Lansing, hosted by her “Williams kids” (those to whom she became a "spiritual mother" at Williams College during the years 1992-2001).

As we focus this month on our worship ministry please pray that our congregation would draw closer to God through worship, that our hearts would be changed to be more like Jesus.  Pray also that our worship team would be refreshed, and that Deej would have wisdom for teaching and leading the worship team members into their gifting.

Home Groups Resume

Home Groups have restarted for the New Year. Home Groups are a great way to get connected with others at CCV, and to experience genuine Christian community with others in the Body of Christ! We offer several home groups and would love to have new group members! If you are interested in joining a group, give the church office a call orspeak with any member of our Leadership Team to find a group to connect with.

Our Condolences

Please pray for Christopher Smith as he grieves the death of his wife, Priscilla, who went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 3rd.  A memorial service and visitation is being planned for Saturday, January 23rd, at CCV.  More details to come.

Please pray that we would grow in our role of seeing disciples made in all nations. Pray also for Dave and Kathy Wolf as they minister at the Nizhny Novgorod Vineyard in Russia, and for their protection, as well as favor with the Russian government.  Pray for emerging leaders in Russia to hear God’s call, and receive effective training and discipleship.
