Home Groups Restart

Our home groups will restart this week. Home Groups are a great way to get connected with others at CCV, and to experience genuine Christian community with others in the Body of Christ!  We offer two home groups that meet on Wednesdays, one group that meets on Thursdays and one that meets on Fridays.  For more information call the church office at:

7 Days of Breakthrough Prayer & Fasting

Consider beginning 2017 by joining with us in 7 days of Breakthrough Prayer & Fasting. We are looking for 7 people each day to commit to fasting & prayer, January 22nd -January 28th. Please see sign-up sheet at the Welcome Station.

“Fire By Night” Worship Gathering

Make plans to join us Sunday, January 29th, at 6pm as we press into God’s presence with an extended time of worship and prayer ministry.  This Fire-By-Night will be hosted by Kingdom Ministries, located at:  3000 W. Miller Rd., Lansing.

Mt. Hope church is calling together Lansing area churches to join in seeking the Lord for the Greater Lansing area and our churches.  This special city-wide prayer service will be held this Wednesday, January 4th, at 7:00pm. All Wednesday home groups will be participating. Mt. Hope Church is located at: 202 South Creyts Rd., Lansing MI.

Angel Tree Gifts

Thank-you to everyone who participated in our Angel Tree project! Our gifts and some used furniture and appliances were delivered on Friday.

Kingdom Ministries Center, located at 3000 W. Miller Road, is hosting a worship and fellowship night for New Year’s Eve! A potluck meal begins at 9pm, bring an appetizer or dessert to share.

Year End Giving

We have been so blessed by the generosity of our church body.  Please consider whether God is prompting you to share in the blessing of giving with a year-end gift. All donations must be received by December 31st, for tax credit in the 2016 budget year.

Today is the day gifts are due. All unwrapped gifts are to be dropped off at CCV no later than 12 pm, Sunday, December 18th.

Pray also for Russia: for emerging local leaders to hear God’s call and receive effective training and discipleship, and for missionaries Dave and Kathy Wolf to be blessed with provision, protection, and endurance.

A new refugee family from Afghanistan requested our help. The household consists of a single mom and 4 children, ages 7-14.   An "Angel Tree" filled with "ornaments" reflecting the needs of each person is in the Cafe.  We hope to outfit this family for the cold season ahead, and bless them as we are able.  We ask that you only take an ornament if you are able to fulfill this commitment.  All unwrapped gifts are to be dropped off at CCV no later than 12 pm, Sunday, December 18th.  Gift Cards and Cash donations are also welcome.

“Deck The Halls” Party, TODAY

Join us this afternoon, November 27th, for our annual CCV Deck The Halls Party from 1-4pm.  This is our chance to dress up the CCV Ministry Center for the Christmas Season.  As the Proverb goes, “Many hands make light work!”, so all willing volunteers are welcome to help.  Lunch will be provided for those who stay to lend a hand.

Youth Group

“Fearless” Youth Group, open to students grade 6 – 12, will be held at EDRU Skate Rink this evening. Bring a friend along to Christian Music Night, from 5:00 – 7:30pm. The entry fee is $6.00, skate rental is $3.00.  EDRU is located at: 1891 N. Cedar St., Holt.

Thanksgiving Offering

Please pray and plan for how to give to our annual CCV Thanksgiving Offering.  We intend to give this years’ special offering to three great missional causes:  Some money will be used to replenish our CCV Benevolence Fund, some will be dedicated to blessing other churches in our Mid-Michigan Region and some will be passed along to the Church Camp in Ukraine where we hope to send a short term team again next summer.  Be encouraged to give generously as an expression of your gratitude for the fullness of God’s provision!

Please pray this month for our CCV Evangelism Ministry.  Pray for good fruit from our weekly “Street Pastors” outreach at MSU on Saturday nights.  Pray for other divine appointments with people who are receptive to the gospel, and that we would be ready to invite and include those whom God is drawing in.  Finally, pray that all of us would commit to the work of evangelism in the Spirit of 1 Peter 3:15:  "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."
