Women’s Retreat Update

If you are attending this year’s Women’s Retreat at Faholo, all money is due by  April 14th. Please make your check out to CCV with “Retreat” in the memo section.  Checks can be placed in the offering box or brought to the retreat.

 

Vineyard Good Friday Service

Mark your calendars now, and plan to join us for our annual Lansing area Vineyard Good Friday Worship Service at Living Hope Vineyard, from 7-9pm    on Friday, April 22nd.  Childcare will be provided for kids 0-3 years old.

We are currently in the process of enclosing a new room in the hallway behind the café, where the library was previously located.  When this room is completed, we will be removing the current “Cry Room/Prayer Room” located at the back of the Worship Center to make room for more seating capacity.  Thanks in advance for your extra grace while we make these changes to maximize our ministry space and make room for growth. 

 

Single Mom’s Day Of Blessing

Attention ladies, it’s time again to celebrate the coming arrival of another baby into our CCV family. A baby shower for Lucy Chen will be held at Ashley Ahlin’s Home, Saturday April 2nd, from 10am-Noon.  The details about gifts are included on the invitations.  Be sure to pick one up in the café.  Please see Darla or Vicki if you have any questions.

Help Needed For Single Mom’s Day Of Blessing

We are looking for volunteers to assist us with the planning and operation of this year’s “Single Mom’s Day of Blessing”, taking place on Saturday, May 7th.

If you’re interested in joining our team, plan to join us next Saturday, March 19th from 10am-12pm in the Café for a planning meeting, and please sign-up today.  (Children are welcome in the nursery but there will not be any childcare.)

CCV 101 “Welcome To The Family” Course

If you’re new to CCV, this upcoming class is a great way to get more connected.  This is our equivalent of a “new members class”, and it will help you understand much more about how you can help us accomplish our vision and mission as a local church.  Led by Pastor Kevin, the course will take place this Friday, March 11, from 7-9pm, and this Saturday, March 12, from 9am-1pm.  Please sign up at the info table in the café if you plan to participate.

 

New “Love Languages” Book Study Group

Want to better understand how you’re inclined to give and receive love? 

Join us for a new adult study group that is now meeting before the worship service on Sunday mornings, from 9:10-9:50am in our main Kid’s Church Classroom.  This 8-week class led by Jim and Donna Boerma will work through the well-known book “The Five Love Languages”, by Gary Chapman.  Please sign up at the info table in the café if you’d like to participate.
