One.Life Book Study

We received our order of the Scot McKnight book that goes along with our current sermon series and home group studies.  If you signed-up for a book last week, please pick it up today.  If you missed the sign-up last week, we have  several extras available.  The book cost is $10.00 per book; checks can be made out to Capital City Vineyard Church.  Please note in the memo line  “One.Life”.  If you would like to participate in the book study, but are unable to purchase the book at this time, please call the CCV office we would be happy to work this out!

 

Home Groups Resume

Home Groups are a great way to get connected with others at CCV, and to experience genuine Christian community with others in the Body of Christ!  There are three Wednesday home groups to choose from:  Shoemaker’s on the North-side; Alvaro’s on the West-side; and Gill’s on the South-side.  Home Groups will begin this week.  If you have any questions please call your groups leaders or the church office. 

 

Women’s Gathering

Our next Women’s Gathering will be Friday, September 28th, at 7:00pm.  The gathering will be held at the home of Karen Hiltunen, located at:  548 Glendale, Lansing.  If you feel led to share what God has been doing in your life, please speak with Karen Hiltunen or Lela Vandenberg.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Rob & Alayne Ferrall, on the birth of their son, Isaac Jeremiah.  Isaac was born on Tuesday, August, 28th at 7:27 am.
He weighed 7 lbs and 5 oz, and is 21 ½ inches long.  If you would like to bring a meal to the family, please see Martha Hess or Beki Burns.

Youth Bible Study

Beginning tonight, Sunday, September 9th, the youth Bible study will begin. Meetings will take place on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month, at 6:00pm.

Monthly Prayer Meeting

Second Saturday Intercession for September is Saturday, the 8th, from 8-9am in the CCV Prayer Room.  We will gather to pray for our church, our CCV friends, and God’s work in our community and in our world.  Join us, and start your weekend with us in the Lord’s presence.

 

Youth Bible Study

Beginning Sunday, September 9th,  the  youth Bible study will resume. Meetings will take place on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month, at 6:00pm.

Summertime Jesus Party Cookouts!

To stay relationally connected during the summer we gather informally every other week for “Jesus Party Cookouts”.  Our next party will be Wednesday August 22nd at 6:30pm., at the home of Ray Gardner (12754 Wood Rd., in Bath, MI). Please bring your own meat for the grill and a side dish or dessert to share for our potluck meal.
