“Fearless” Youth Group, open to students grade 6 – 12, has begun! The next meeting is tonight, 6:00pm, at the CCV Ministry Center. Be sure to watch our calendar insert closely, as meeting places vary.
Calling all Pray-ers
The Compelling Conference, held at the Kellogg Center, is coming up November 4th – 6th. CCV has been given the opportunity to partner with Matt Rogers in helping in the Intercession Room. If you have a heart for prayer and would like the opportunity to pray with students attending the conference, we are looking for more help on Saturday, between 1 & 4pm. To volunteer, please give Beki a call at the church office, 517-337-9121.
CCV Family Benevolence Need
A young man who recently lost his housing, needs help refurnishing his new apartment. We will be collecting donations of furniture and household supplies for the next week. If you would like to be a part of this gift, bring your donations to the CCV pantry during regular office hours or on Sunday morning. We will collect and sort through the donations, anything un-used will be dropped off at Goodwill.
Monthly Prayer Focus: Compassion Ministry
Pray this month for our Compassion Ministry, under the leadership of Matthew & Melanie Romans. Pray for discernment for how to engage the changing demographic of neighbors in the immediate surrounding communities; as well as for blessings on the garden space as the land is being prepared for the spring, and for “good soil” in the hearts of people gardening next year. Also pray for wisdom and creative ideas on how to expand the reach of the compassion ministry, and for growth of the core group of ministry volunteers.
